I was off work for a good long time for the holiday and haven't been on lately.  I just wanted to give an update.  I haven't been to f2f meetings lately I'm just really not excited by the group here and there are no others nearby.  The A came over for xmas and stayed two nights.  When I took him back to town he got into a clean and sober house that day.  He had been staying at shelters and on the street.  All he had were the clothes on his back.  He got a job within days of getting into the house (finally having a contact number I guess) and he starts next Monday.  I am very hopeful that this will be permanent and will help me and the kids.  He has been going to meetings several times a day and moved into more permanent clean and sober housing two days after he got into the first house.  I need to remember not to get my hopes up enough to rely on his continued good behavior and the money that may or may not come from that.  I need to remember to not be "nice" and forego getting a child support order established for fear of upsetting him.  I have been doing really well and need to remember that it's because I'm on my own and not dealing with his stuff anymore.  I did help him out over the holidays by dropping him off and letting him stay and it appears it really did help - that's a nice change from the usual helping that doesn't help.

Anyway, that's my update PLUS for all those of you who read about my kid woes, I got daycare assistance over the break so now my house will be the same as I left it every day.  Mind you I have to come up with an extra 100 a month but it's worth 5$ a weekday to not scream about cleaning all night long!
