MY NEW YEAR

For New years eve me and my husband spent are time inside watching the ball drop. He has been sober since the summer which life has been great. But it hasn't always been that way, there have been some new years eve that he was so drunk I end up leaving him and going to my friends house and stayed over night because I was so upset. He was so drunk and I was new I called someone in the aa program to come help them. They told me to take him to a meeting. He wouldn't talk to any one on the phone. I was so upset that I didnt know what to do. I was going out of my mind. How could someone start off there new year drinking. I mean really what kind of thing is that. I was so upset at my friends house because I wanted to spend my new years with my husband and he i am watching the ball by myself. That has been a couple of years ago. But I do understand what people are going through now.

About me I have not just let him do all the change, I had to do change too. I got a support system and when he got to where I wouldn't take it any more i got on the phone and called someone to talk to. It is important to have people to turn too. I got a sponsor and that was a major change and I had to work on my self by the steps, and my sponsor tells me when things are right and wrong, doesn't cover the truth.

((((((((((NY))))))))),

Happy New Year to you and hubby.  Glad he is sober.  This was our first new years sober too.  What a wonderful feeling. You've done a lot of work on you.  The steps aren't easy. They can be trecherous at times.  But we somehow manage to get them done.  I hope and pray his recovery and yours will continue.

Love and blessings to you and your family.

Live strong,

Karilynn & Pipers Kitty

((((nycbt))))

And a Happy New Year to you!  It's always good to be able to reflect back on what we've been thru, and know that where we are today is so much better, whether or not there is sobriety -- Gratitude, it's a wonderful thing.

I watched the ball drop w/ my kids, they kill me LOL.  My daughter wrote out a "Weird Dancing Permit"  (I kid you not) Gave it to me, then tore it up LOL!!!  Like she's going to stop me from dancing on New Years!  I feel so blessed to have graduated to the "weird parent" LOL

So much to look forward to this year.

Sending you much love and (((((Hugs))))
