Today he called from Florida to say his separated from wife was arrested Wednesday night when the police raided her on and off boyfriend's house with warrent because they suspected he deals coccaine. They found 200 bags of heroin and other stuff. She was charged with a 5th degree felony and bailed out by a friend. Boyfriend faces more charges. I found it all in the local paper.
My son is whimpering that he will die in FL and wants to come home. I asked if this was a threat and repeated that he has to find his own way and should have a NY plan for his arrival that doesn't include us. He said it's obvious that we won't help and hung up.
I know that intellectually I am doing the right thing, but boy is this hard and I long to fly to FL, grab him and lock him up in the back bedroom, feed him soup and icecream until his brain clicks in again sober and willing.

He sure is tugging on the heartstrings huh? I really hope he manages to come up with a plan. You know how it feels good when we've accomplished something? It makes us stronger. Same goes for him. By doing this you are allowing him to have the dignity of that feeling.
