Bird Seed

((((Everyone))))

My AW left a card at the house for me a week or so ago.  It was a sappy "your the greatest" kind of card.  But in it she wrote:

" God provides enough seed to feed all the birds, but he doesn't throw it into the nest ... "

I am not sure what that ment to her?  Or why she would pass that on to me exactly based on what is going on in our lives today.  I thought it was particularly fitting for both of us however.

Kinda like HP will provide a boat for us to get across the river, but only we can get in it and row, right?

Well, I went to Cabbages and Kings, which is a little consignment store full of crafts and stuff looking for a birthday gift for my AW.

I ran across a framed cross-stitched version of that saying.  I thought that was probably very fitting.  And probably just exactly why HP sent me there.  I am much more comfortable shopping in the tools section of Sears.  <grinning>

She may burn it... but it's the thought that counts, right?  LOL

I will cross my fingers!  I also bought a little book called "Don't sweat the small stuff" which is kind of a self help book.  I may save that for another day.

Take care of you!

This caused me a little flash back and a harty laugh (which I need these days)  My A once thought that I said "Grape vines think alike"  -- hahaha--- he thought on that for a while.  So much for Great minds!!!

Hope she loves the gift.... I got a potatoe peeler once, now mind you it sliced, diced and made fruit into amazing creations, LOL, never really figured out how to do that with it.  My A called it a "kitchen TOOL"  hehehe

Have a great night.

How amazing that you found that!  Yes, it seems HP led you there.  I hope she appreciates the thought, and it probably depends on what she thought the phrase meant.

Your strength and compassion never cease to amaze me.  Thank you so much for your inspiration and posting of your growth.  I hope your wife has a nice birthday, and it is a peaceful day for you all.

Prayers and support,

HeidiXX

Actually, I would buy the woman, if she doesn't have it already, an AA Big book. Perhaps the AA 12 & 12.

Or, if all else fails, a date to the detox center.  Maybe, RTX, nothing at all.
