My A relapses 24 hours out of rehab

So, i pick him up friday and saturday hes drinikning a minature and sunday is drinking god knows what. So upset, dissapointed, angry....The little hope I did have is gone.Honestly I knew he was goign to do this. He has sone it every time he has gotten outof rehab. Drinks within 2 weeks of getting out and thinking I am going to put up with it.
I am sticking to my boundaries!!! I have given him until tomorrow morning (monday) to leave the house. Hopefullly he will follow my boudary. I also did tell him that if he doesen't leave I WILL have him removed by any means. I refuse to allow him to be destructive here. I was so upset earlier, yelling at him and saying how selfish he is and then he asks why I am so down on him...lol
I feel much better though knowing that it will hopefully will be over tomorrow and I won't have to put up with an active drinking A in my house. This will pass!
Thank all you guys for giving me strength and hope

I know this is draining. You are doing very well.  Keep sticking to your guns!  I hope that he will be gone soon.  Keep coming back.

 Actually this is sadly common

The seed has been planted. He knows where the solution is and so do you. So long as he is not enabled, needs to provide for his own serenity and sobriety. is forced to find is own happiness, he will surrender to the help that is offered. Otherwise, he will continue to drink.

(((((Mindy)))))),

Sorry this is happening to you.  My A relapsed an 1 hour after he got out of detox.  Had the cab driver stop on his way home to get a bottle of vodka.   He is now almost 6 months sober and he now tells me that as a "chronic relapser" he wasn't ready to get sober.  He wanted it, but wasn't ready for it.  Hopefully your A will be ready for it at some point. This disease does not let go without a huge fight.  Meanwhile, keep working on your recovery.  Stick to your boundaries. That's the only way we survive.

Love and blessings to you and your family.

Live strong,

Karilynn
