Tomorrow (11/11) is Veterans Day here in the US. Forget the sales, the day off on Monday for the kids or the fact the banks are closed.
This is a day about honoring our war veterans who have served us and are serving now in our Armed Forces. Regardless of your feelings about the current state of things, I ask that you all take a moment to pause and remember those who have served. Let us give thanks to all the brave men and women in all the countries that are serving our countries. Let us remember those who are in active duty. Let us remember the sacrifices thier families are giving us as well. It's not easy on them either. My father was a vet, and so was my grandfather. Hubby was a navy seal and I have friends serving overseas as well.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank all of you for doing what you are doing. I remember and honor all of those who have gone before you in service. To the families, I thank you as well. Your sacrifices will not go unnoticed nor unappreciated. May all you return home safe and sound to your loved ones soon. I will say extra prayers for you tonight. I will go to my father's grave tomorrow and place a ribbon on his grave, from a daughter and a patriot. To all of those who have served, thank you I am honored by your presence.

Thank you for sharing that! My brother has been in the service for 12 years now (flyboy) and is overseas until early next year. They do what they do, so we can be safe and they and all those that went before them deserve our respect an our sincere thanks.
I pray for their safety daily. Please pass my reguards to your husband on this day of honor for our servicemen.

You are always so right on......I so agree with you.....I may not like what is happening in our country right now....and i do not agree that our fathers, sons, hubsband. moms, wifes and daughters are there.....I am so very thankful for them.....
I have such graditude and love in my heart for those wonderful people who risk thier very lives for all of us......Thank you for this wonderful reminder............................
