Good morning...

((((Everyone))))

Out of todays ODAT "... Surrender to the will of god is not a passport to inertia"

How true is it that I want to be able to simply avoid situations and hope they get better on thier own.  Is that faith?  .... ummmm probably not.  Does let go and let God, mean never give that a second thought.  Maybe if that is the path our HP has opened for us.  But likely, the tools or the oportunity may be layed in front of us to deal with our issue.  If we are not looking, we may not see that as HP's way of taking this burden off our hands... by providing the tools instead of the amnesia.

The reading was about slogans and our interpretations of them.  How easy is it to take the slogans and bend them to our meanings.  For me they seemed a little flippant at first.  I now see them as keys to long term healing.

Live and let live may mean ignore the world around you and don't allow others to get you down.  That's what I had thought before getting into the program.

Now I read it as live your life to it's utmost... and allow others the dignity and responsability of doing the same.  If that action upsets them, it's likely they have never been given the oportunity before.

Just some random thoughts after my study this morning.... I get real philisophical on myself sometimes.  LOL

Take what you want and leave the rest.

Take care of you!

I always look forward to your posts. This concept is so simple yet profound that I am going to share the idea with my AH, who believes deeply in his HP. Thank you. Babysteps.

Great Post!  TY I needed to hear that today.  Today I am trying to keep my side of the sidewalk clean!  I am a firm believer in using the tools instead of denial and avoidence of an issue.  Monday I take the ex A back to court for child support and visitation changes.  Needless to say he is not pleased.  However I plan to stand my ground.  He takes all as a personal vendetta against him.  Always with the A it is all about them.  This is all about our child's welfare and I am hoping the courts will now agree.

Yours in recovery,

Julia
