I was at work today. My A, Tina calls around 1pm. She left with me this am to take two of our pets to the vet. The dog ,Bess has a rash on her nose . It is a fungus like ringworm. The cat, Bug has flea dermetitis. He had a shot for his bad allergy. just one flea breaks him out.
Tina got home and found several of our dogs had gotten out of their pens. She saw lots of blood on the floor. She finally figured out which one was injured.
Our Weiner dog, Vinny. He was under my desk covered in blood on his back end. He has injuries on his genitalia, one leg & spine. The vet has him sedated on a heating pad & trying to keep him out of shock. He is stable. Tina had them doing tests to see if his organs can handle anethesia. The vets office will be closed when the results come back. They will be know if he needs to do surgery tommorrow. X Ray looks ok. He might have internal injuries. We will not know the total extint of his injuries until tommorrow.
It is touch & go at this point. I had to make calls from my job to the vets offices. Tina was freaking out. The vet she went to this morning closed at noon. I called one we used to go to but owe $100. I told Tina where my truck money was at so she could use it for Vinny's bill. It might cost around $500. I guess he will let me make payments. No wonder I worked 44.5 hours last week,& I will work 33 this week & 60 next week.
I kinda want to blame myself. I did not secure one of the clips on Hyde's pen. He is the suspected culprit to Vinny's injuries. Vinny is a little fellow with a big mouth. He likes to run in front of the other dogs pens barking at them like a drill sergent. He is lippy. He and some others pushed the door to the bedroom & got out into the other room. It looks like some others got involved too. It is hard to tell what exactly happened.
Tina has said she has her mind made up that it is ok if he does not make it. Just as long as he is not in pain.
I am asking you my AlAnon family to please send all your prayers that Vinny will be okay & we will not go broke.
Will keep poor vinny in my prayers today. Poor thing! I had a weiner dog growing up, we had her 17 years. Animals are such a blessing to us. Will also pray for your financial situatin to improve. Sounds like you are doing everything you can for your $$$ and for poor vinney.
Aw, poor Vinny . I send prayers and love his way and your way. We had a kitten a few weeks ago wonder up in our yard covered in maggots and I thought he was a goner for sure but he was put on meds and I cleaned him up and now he is running around getting under my feet and causing trouble LOL . I hope your dog makes a great recovery too. I always hate to see a hurt animal, it rips my heart out everytime. I hope he gets better and you have you some money left. Goodness knows, vet bills can be high!! Our vet lets us make payments too. Thank goodness for the payments. You and your dog are in my prayers.
I tried to call the vets office before leaving for work around noon. The number is temporary disconnected?????? I called a pizza place a few doors down and asked them to go give a message for them to call. I am sure someone has a cell phone. Perhaps HP says no one needs to disturb them while Vinny is being worked on. BTW He is maybe 5 to 7 year old? not sure but he has gray hair on his muzzle. Bless you all. I will hopefully bring him home this evening.
