back from a long vacation

I got back from Japan last Friday. I think I am still jetlagged. Me and hubby have been tired this entire week.

Have not been online much and have not attended any f2f meetings. I need to get back into the swing of things.

Vacation was a wonderful experience. San Francisco for 2 nights, Honnolulu for 4 nights and Japan for 7 nights. Did way too much walking for this overweight, 2 artificial knees girl. I don't like Japanese food so with that and all the walking up and down hills and steps, I did manage to drop a few pounds. That is pretty good for being on vacation for 2 weeks...don't you think? Anyway, now that I am home I am sure I will find it again. However, I am going to get back into OA next week, get a sponser and get on with my life. I also will be choosing an Alanon sponser soon.

I did not worry too much about A son like I thought I would while gone. I had a few moments here and there when I could not call from Japan. But, I made it!!!!

I hope everyone is doing well and I will get back on track with reading and posting.

YFIR...Gail

I'm so glad you had fun. I gotta admit, though--I'm envious that you spent time in Japan! *is terribly envious*

Take me with you next time?

((((Gail)))),

Vacations are great to take your mind off of things. For me, the obsessing. Sounds like you have a great plan for recovery.

In support,

Nancy

Welcome home!   Glad you had a great trip.  I'm sorry you didn't like the food so much.  But hey, you got to explore a whole new culture and see a different part of the world.  Kind of feeds the soul exploring new things doesn't it?

Sounds like you need to rest up a bit.   I always had a bit of a hard time with the jetlag.  Once you get back on your normal schedule, it'll get easier.  Good luck in finding a sponsor.  Remember to take your time and don't get discouraged should the first one not work out.  It took me a couple of tries, but it was so worth it.  Look foward to seeing you back at the meetings.  You did really well with your son, and you should be proud of yourself.

Live strong,

Karilynn & Pipers Kitty

Welcome back Gailey.   I too have been on vacation, and am not so jet lagged, since I didn't fly, but am lagged for sure.   It takes a while to readjust doesn't it.    Always nice to come home, and I hope your change of scenery was as invigorating as mine was .
