What are your plans this weekend?

(((Hi everyone)))

Thought we could start a self-care thread.  What are your plans for this weekend to take care of you?

I am:

Cleaning the house tonite and listening to my new cds (Funky Brian Jonestown Massacre, Rolling Stones and Sarah McLachlan);

Tomorrow going hiking with my two wonderful cousins, we are packing a lunch and heading up to these beautiful Colorado Rockies for the day!!;

Sunday, going to church in the morning with a friend, maybe then lunch, then going home and getting rid of junk in the house that has been bothering me!!!

Have a wonderful weekend -

Love, HeidiXXXX

what a big question for me . . .

First, I am chairing my f2f meeting tonight, then maybe going to an open AA meeting afterwards

Saturday - was suppose to meet with my daughter, Ashley, to go for a visit with her daughter, Caroline, but we have not heard from her since Wed, so she may not be in "good" shape to be able to see Caroline (If Ash is practicing recovery I talk to her almost every day) - so to take care of me I'll make a Plan B and probably go to a meeting at 12:30.

The rest I'll leave open.

Hope everyone has a blessed, recovery filled weekend,

Rita

Hello all,

Tonight I plan to take my boys to see the new Will Ferrell movie, Talledega Nights. Just us, no friends tagging along, strong desire to hang out with them and laugh.

Saturday-To start, the morning will be laundry and cleaning, then head to the pool for a swim and relax in the chair while the boys have fun in the pool. Back home to do a few chores and then kick back until church around 6 and then maybe a dinner out with the boys.

Sunday- Clean out my bedroom closet!  Been putting it off for a year!  I will feel a monkey off my back after its done.  Alanon mtg at 8...oh yeah, pedicure before the mtg!

Very simple stuff but its all I need right now!

Love to all,

G

My weekend is consisting of working extra hours (like what I do so more fun then work). Then some me alone quiet time maybe go to the lake and look at the water or go for a walk. It is my weekend to reflect on things I have gotten done and things I still need to focus on. Yep chores is on that list. There is something great about getting things done on my list that have been there awhile. For me it was not only a relief but also made me feel good it was done.

This is me living in my fantasy world where my clothes and dishes wash themselves the lawnmower mows and bags the grass with no help from me and can snap my fingers and the trash walks itself, out ,oh yeah can't forget the floors doing themselves while I just do absolutely nothing while my feet are proped up. LOL, Darn really starting to like my fantasy world too much, ok that was fun now back to reality for me. Darn it LOL

Do something for you this weekend because your worth it!!!

(((Everyone)))

Well, Saturday I'll be bringing the boys to the beach for some fun in sun, providing their is no rain.  Saturday night we are getting together with my brother and his family for a back to school cookout.

Sunday probably sleep in, cook a big breakfast and hang out with my A and the kids, then do some house cleaning and laundry to get ready for another fun filled week.

Most importantly I plan on relaxing and having fun, hope everybody does the same.

Hugs,

Twinmom~

hersch,

What a great idea ~ a self-care thread!

I've already started my self-care today...went for a nice, fast, HOT walk before the much-needed rain moved in.  Tonight I'm going to chair our f2f meeting (always makes me a little bit nervous ), then come home and watch a little tv with my hubby.  Tomorrow, I'm going to wake up late (hopefully late, but usually by 7 am), take my time enjoying a nice, healthy breakfast, try to get a nice walk in again, and just be lazy for the rest of the day.  No agenda, just whatever strikes my fancy, LOL.  Sunday, it's church, then lunch, another walk, and probably catching up on some laundry.

I hope everyone gets to enjoy their weekend!

WOOOHOOOO!!!  IT'S THE WEEKEND!!!

Lemme see.  Saturday morning I will get up at 5:30 and drag my butt into work.  I will get home at 2:00pm, clean my house and do some grocery shopping.

Sunday my weekend starts   If the pups let me I will sleep in (that means 8) and then I am going to cook up a storm for dear friends who i don't often get to spend an afternoon with.  While they are here I will pretend that my A stepdaughter is not in detox and that her life is peachy, and that she is not in jeopardy of having a heart attack at 27 (doctor's words).  Actually if no one asks, I am saying nuttin...am getting pretty good at keeping my mouth buttoned.

On Monday (it's a long weekend here) we are going to get in the car and just go.  See where we land, have some dinner and relax.

Then back to the working world.

Have a GREAT weekend friends

Great post idea!! Enjoyed reading everyone's plans!!

My plans have changed at the last minute... some of them involved my non-A husband... but he called me tonight from work... 2 huge semis rolled over on the turnpike and he will be working ALL NIGHT LONG and into tomorow to get the highways cleared and cleaned up. :o(  So whenever he does get here, he will SLLLEEEEEP... LOL (more like comatose)

So I am going to walk a lot with my dog. I am angrily preparing to quit smoking and I want to start exercising more before I quit... to start a healthy habit off. I am planning on not turning my computer on at all tomorrow... it is getting cooler here in Ohio and I am getting out of this house. Would like to dig around in the backyard and go see my dad's horses... just love on them for a while. Debylin has inspired me to get out of the city and back to my 'horse roots' a bit.... :o)

Hope everyone has  asafe, peaceful, and healthy weekend... mentally and physically!!
