Glad to have a place to come tonight

I am just having a difficult time tonight-- I know that sleep be will not be coming tonight (for awhile at least), so thought I write out some of this stuff & maybe feel better.
I keep repeating the 3 C's....and the serenity prayer!

My A has a dual addiction...... claimes to have not touched alcohol in 18 months, but while cleaning out a closet, a box fell down from the shelf., I found his drug paraphenalia, empty bottles, ectect.
He happens to be traveling for work this week,so I called him and asked him about it.
He stated that although he has abstained ffrom alchohol, he could never stay away from
the drugs, and "needed help". I was totally "there" for him the last time; I advised that
if he needed help, he needed to find help, but that I needed him to stay away from the house & our family until I decide what I want to do. I want no part of this.

I was (and am) filled with so many different emotions (I hate this %$@&%@&disease!!!) that at this moment, I just want my brain to stop!!

Anyway, thanks for letting me share. I'll be to a meeting first thing in the morning.

Wow you handled that really well with the boundaries you should be proud of yourself.  Your partner has told you his choices and now you have to do what you think is best for you.  ((()) Luv Leo xxx
