Am back in the Uk with my son and his heavily pregnant wife. She looks FANTASTIC!! To sit and watch my son cherish her and take such good care of her brings tears to my eyes. HIS Father was never interested in our two pregnancies,giving us the joy of two beautiful children(My son and daughter) He isn't part of their lives even today.Sad,my ex-husband lives only 20 minutes drive away from our beautiful children...I live thousands of miles away!!! Thanks to God I love my children SO much and they love me equally.My son and daughter in law wanted me to be here for the imminent birth of their much wanted and loved child. MY son is SO determined to be the kind of Dad he wanted his own Father to be for him,but sadly never was.
My daughter introduced me tonight to her new boyfriend,along with my son and his wife. He took us all to dinner,and confessed how scared he was of meeting us all. Oh bless,he is a really nice guy,and I can see how besotted he is with my daughter.We all sat tonight having a lovely meal together and getting to know each other......and do you know what? It felt SO right and SO good.
When we got home, I went to the kitchen to make cups of tea and went into the lounge with the teas on a tray to find my daughter in law laying on the sofa exhausted(and suffering badly with prickly heat) and my son laying gently acress her heavily pregnant tummy kissing and talking to his new,yet to be born child........and I stood and cried tears of absolute joy!!!!
My son and his gorgeous adorable wife went to bed,and I used my sons computer to check my emails and go online for a short while. First was an idiotic message from A............I read it and was stunned........but Do you know what???????? I really don't care about all this crap anymore!!!! A sent a message ALL in Turkish,knowing full well I wouldn't really totally understand most of it......and......at this moment.....I really DON'T GIVE A DAMN!!!!
I watched my gorgeous son laying his head tonight on his beautiful wife's pregnant tummy....... and the rest can go to hell and back for all I care now.I'd have given ANYTHING for my own husband to have been that interested to do that to me when I was carrying HIS children,and it never happened. I watched my son do that tonight.........and I cried tears of absolute joy.

I am so happy you are able to experience such joy. You certainly deserve it. Your kids must be thrilled that their mom is with them. I became a gram for the second time 4 weeks ago. What an awesome experience. Enjoy! Hope to catch you on line soon.
Awwww what a good son you have! Glad your daughter has found someone nice too. You have done a great job with them. That speaks volumns about the type of person you are. Congrats to you dear lady.
Enjoy this time. Good for you for not letting your A ruin your vacation.

(((Chris52)))) What a beautiful, inspiring post! Sometimes, I feel like I was so caught up in the A, and in the disease, that I missed so much beauty that was all around me. I thank God and Alanon for opening my eyes to all the simple goodness that is evident everywhere, if we just look for it.
I think you must have done a fantastic job raising your children, and now you will reap the benefits. You can rest assured that your son will be a good father and husband, and his wife and child will not want for anything. And your daughter's boyfriend, he sure is one lucky fella to have captured your daughter's heart, I'm sure.
Congratulations on the upcoming baby. Keep us posted! Good for you for not letting the A drag you down.
