I used to think that HP was just a figment of people’s imagination. I recently had a light bulb moment!!! I had a friend that lives on the other side of the country. We would chat on line and a few times we would call on the phone. It was limited because of the cost. I kept hearing commercials on tv about a phone service that had unlimited calling in Canada and the States. So I thought what a great opportunity to be able to call my friend and it wouldn’t cost any extra. I got the phone service hooked up and shortly after that I received an email from that same friend that we could no longer speak to each other in any way. There spouse didn’t want us to talk. So to respect the wished of my friend I have stopped all communication I miss my friend terribly but I wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize there relationship. Now I’m sitting here thinking what am I going to do with this phone service? Then the light bulb hit My sponsor is in a different country I can call and it won’t cost either of us a thing. I have called my friends from the MIP room and it doesn’t cost me a thing. Now I have a sponsee in a different part of the country and we can talk all we want. I really believe that HP guided me to get that phone service so I can stay in touch with my family of choice.
I was wondering if that was really you until I saw the part about Canada
Anyway, yours is the second post that I have seen today about blessings that HP has given us without us realizing it at first. Makes me wonder what I am not seeing.

This weekend I went out of town. I booked a hotel through Hotwire, which means I paid for it before I knew where I was staying. Got to the hotel and found myself smack in the middle of an AA, CA, NA, ACA convention. :)
The thing I see biggest in my recovery right now from my hp which is God that my kdis one 20 and one 17 at home still.After the years of turmoil and now the ex is no longer in the picture and i have been in alanon 3 years. I see laughter in our house peace and openess and talking.The other night we were all in the liveing room watching some stupid shore laughing now that is recovery .We use to hide in our own seperate rooms and not laugh or talk
Over the last couple of weeks, and tonight especially, Hp has been allowing me to see, showing me things, and plain out and out shouting things at me, lol. I prayed that I wouldn't be that person in the water saying "God's going to save me" to the passing boat, helicopter, etc. I prayed for ablity to see the direction I needed to go. Well, as much as I don't like the direction Hp is pointing toward, I can't ignore it. Or I will be the person in the water waving away the boat.
It's pretty amazing though, sometimes HP can be pretty direct.
There is probably not enough room in the entire internet to share all the ways my HP keeps showing me how He wants to work in my life, but I would love to share this special one that happened this weekend . . .
I lived in the area devasted by Hurricane Rita, we, my AH & I, have been working on obtaining a disaster assistance loan through SBA to replace our damaged mobile home. It is a very long process. You send in tons of permits, paperwork, blah, blah, and then wait - but it is a great opportunity - so you just keep trying. Like so many in our area, we have begun to discover more damage to our home than original thought. Our hot water heater went out last week, roof leaking, mold in parts of the ceiling, floors starting to fall, walls buckling, etc. You just begin to feel like to house is going to fall down around you. Saturday, my AH wakes me from a nap to say, "Don't panic, but the Fire Dept. is on it's way - Didn't want the siriens to scare you - (what I'm still half asleep) the gas line from the meter busted, the Fire Dept is coming to watch it, so it doesn't catch on fire, until the city can come shut the meter off." I'm definitely awake then!! I look at my AH who has tears in his eyes - I go to give him a hug - try to tell him it's going to be ok - we'll figure out something - buy a new hot water heater - trying to be supportive - He says "I have something else to tell you"
Now, even though my AH has 3 plus years of recovery, everytime he says "I have something to tell you" - I still panic inside - Ok - so "What's up" - He said "I checked the mail, We got the letter from SBA - We have been approved for the loan for a new home!!"
So just at the right moment, my HP knew to send us a big blessing of Hope. So, now within the next 2 - 3 months we will be able to purchase a new manufactured home to replace our damaged home. A dream never thought possible - What is my HP doing for me - Giving me my hearts desires!!
