Dream

Ok. I had a dream last night, that when I was awoken (is that a word) I thought oh my word. Thought I'd share it

I was driving in my car after dropping my ah off at the mechanic's to drop off his truck. Then I decided he was probably hungry so I went to pick him up a pizza. Then in my rearview mirror and saw him driving his truck to a part of town where I knew was not a good part of town and so he must be doing something wrong. So I turned around and started following him. Then someone in my car (who when I looked at them it was my ah) says to me "well you're a pretty good detective, I'll give you that much." I found him parked in a parking lot. So I pulled up and his truck had turned into someone else's which caused me to think --pretty good detective, I'm a damn good detective cause this wasn't even the truck I was following. He gets out of his truck, I get out of my car and he starts to hand me over the drugs he just got. I told him to throw them out. He did then he along with the other "he" got back into his truck and sped away. I proceeded to the pizza shop b/c I was sure he was probably still hungry and needed something to eat.

Sooo--evidentally I am extremely ill even in my sleep!!!!!!!!
I am out at my folks house today visiting with my sister. So I left my house even though it makes me sick, but I just told myself I can't keep him from doing what he's going to do. I know that, I do!!!!

Anyway--I just thought you guys might find that dream humorous.

Have a good day!

Dawn

Hi Dawn!

Okay.......so what I really want to know is.....did you ever get that pizza???

I used to have dreams similiar to that myself....all kinds of crazy situations....always involving my ex wife and alcohol in one way or another.

Yep even our subconscious has the same "thing" going on. I know when I was first seperated I kept having really bad dreams about things, and my sleep was not restful... an al-anon friend suggested to me that I do some reading in bed just before I turned off the light...some good reading that is!! no Stephen King! LOL.

So, myself, I started reading from the bible.....well.....that was good for me on many levels.....didn't take me long to fall asleep (wink wink) and somehow it took my mind off my troubles and on to better things in those moments before sleep. The dreams pretty much went away after that! You might try that, read the bible, or some good ole Al-anon literature...or just something light and fun.

Thanks for sharing, Dawn

Yours in Recovery,
David

sometimes I thik are dreams are our wishes, like wishing he would just throw the drugs away and stop......

My prayers are with you.......

Just for today,
Andrea

(((Dawn)))

I have strange dreams too. Last night my neighbor chased me down the street to tell me that a gold car kept coming to my house at all times day and night with the license plate starting with JIM .... no clue who that car is or person id the name is supposed to mean something. Then I have in law family dreams .... the really strange thing is my AH is never in my dreams. Or maybe I just choose not to remeber those. I hope you are having a nice day visiting your family. Take care.

Jennifer
