have you noticed a positive change around here????

I have been really busy with baaseball, kids, meetings etc and have only had time to get my online fix by reading and occasionally a quick reply.  Today was the last day of school for the summer and I am so looking forward to being able to be a better participant here at MIP.

I just wanted to say that from where I am sitting I see an amazing thing happening here.
The posts and replies I have been reading lately are soooooo recovery focused.  It seems like we are really trying hard to "focus on ourselves".  I am not sure if I am explaining this right, maybe someone else has noticed it also.

Thanks to all of you for sharing your ESH, you may never know who you are reaching out to.  Thanks to all of you for asking the questions that I may not even realize yet that I have.

Very grateful,

Lynn

(((((((((((((((((Lynn))))))))))))))),

You are so right, there has been such a positive change in this board.  I don't believe it's because we are "sugar-coating" things.  The posts have been honest and forthright. Even when there is dispair, the posts and replies have been very good.

When we stay focused on our programs, we can't help but spread the word.  Recovery is absolutely possible.  There is always hope.  The programs works if you work it, and we are so worth it! Bit by bit the healing comes.

I can't begin to tell you what this board means to me.  The love, support, giggles, insight and friendship I have gained are priceless.

Live strong,

Actually  attitude has always been positive ,depending on who u talk too.  I avoid negative people who are looking just to vent . venting is necessary but I prefer people who are looking for solutions .  If I am not part of the solution I am part of the problem was drilled into me early on in recovery. I was told to follow the winners , the ones who keep commin back and change thier lives for the better.  In other words they had what i wanted a smile on thieir face and had learned how to laugh at themselves.

Everyone here has been affected by the disease of alcoholism and we too need to recover on a daily basis not just when things are going bad.  I love the saying keep the focus on yourself and your recovery and u will never be bored. hehe so much to fix about me.

I must admit to having very little patience with drama queens. but all the time in the world  for those who are looking to make thier lives better by using the principles of this program . I don't care how long it takes to "get it" as long as they keep going to meetings and keep trying.  just my opinon
