May I remind you

What is said it chat room ,who you see it chat room, stays in chat room. This is per our policy and has been discussed at business meetings.

I lost my anomity by others sharing my info with others in the room and it hurt really bad I am here because I felt safe and trusted!!!!!

I had this happen in f2f with a AA / Al-anon sponsor and I wasn't in the program long and it hurt so bad not only did it hurt me but my Family!!!!!!!!!! I have since left that sponser and group and is meeting with another group!!!!!!

Pleases listen!!!!! What you hear here stays here!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gossip about others truly hurt them!!!!! We are all hurting and we need HP loves to heal us all !!!!

I love you all and I do my best to leave what i hear here!!!!!!

Thanks

This doesn't seem to be clear to me. I can understand what is in the meetings. That is guarded under anonimity.

For open chat I have read many , many post about things in the chat room. I was even told if i had something I wanted to be clear to post on message board and I would be answered. And doesn't include names. So this doesn't seem like its a problem. And not all of it seems to be gossip. Family stuff is all over the posts. Is that gossip too ? This is too confusing when too many have contradicting instructions. How about a board with rules on it ? Actually there is a message that informs people right under the heading on top the message board. Is it wrong ?

Thanks Josey,

Have been reading over the past few days what so and so said to whom or did in chat.  Yikes.

The chat room meetings should be exactly that meetings, where what you hear here, who you see here stays here.

If people have an issue with someone in chat then they should pm them to deal with it.  Posting a whole chat conversation on this board certianly breaks anonymity.

I have only been around for a few weeks but am so happy about the anonymity thing.  Also about the putting of personalities before principle.

So once again thanks for the reminder and all of the hard work you and others put into the rooms to keep this space a SAFE space for all

Okay,

So I screwed that up, had myself a little moron moment.  I did not mean at all personalities before principle.  How scary would that be????  lol

Of course I meant principle before personalities.

(((((((((((((((((Josey)))))))))))))),

Thanks for the reminder.  My A's anonymity was broken by a "13 stepper" and it really hurt him.  It set him back emotionally and in his recovery.  This person came into my place of work and started asking all these questions of my colleagues who didn't know hubby was an addict.  She also spread rumors about him amongst the members of AA.

I'd like to think and believe (I do) that we are better than this.  I know in my heart that none of us here would deliberately do anything to harm another's recovery.  There's is too much love in this room for it to be otherwise.

Let us all be gentle, encouraging and loving with one another.

Live strong,

Karilynn
