Danielle....  Glad today is a good day, but.......

And so the roller coaster goes with active addictions.... One day they are super "up", the next day they are devastatingly down, and then the next day they are back to "up" again.... It is an emotional roller coaster that is too much for most of us....

What about YOU?  I would love to hear more about what you are doing, for yourself, for your recovery, than what your A happens to be thinking or doing on any given day.  You are worth the effort of recovery, and the more stable and fulfilling life that can come with this peace.

Take care

Tom

I once lived with an A in recovery. He lived ate and slept meetings. In fact he did little else.  I think meetings are part of it but so is walking through the program. That particular man never worked a program. And some of his mandates were that I go to his family parties where everyone else in the family were drunk. I am still stuck with an A who is superglued to his family (who are needless to say dysfunctional) at holidays. Some day I will make a choice to have my own holidays.  I am almost there!

I think its great you can enjoy this respite. I also think its important to start working the program for you. I work the program regardless of where the A is.

((((((((NSN))))))))))))),

Glad you had a good day. Sometimes we can find new perspective in a new day.
