HOPE: Hold on...Pain Ends

This is one of the acronyms I got from Betty.  It's very positive, however honestly, I don't think pain ends.  For me, pain lessens, and I am extremely grateful for that.  A reading from Hope for Today, p. 366, says how much hope is given in so many of alanon's tools--Steps, sponsorship, hugs, etc.  Alanon is a perpetual repetition of hopefilled words and actions.  In the thought for the day, it says that hope is one of alanon's gifts.  I totally agree.  :)

Absolutely.

When I separated from my Q I had hit my rock bottom. I had literally been broken spiritually and mentally, I snapped and boom that was it.  At that point I had NO hope.  I was totally bereft of everything.

Now I have Hope.  I love the CAL Hope for Today, it speaks volumes!
