Weird day today........not feeling to good about some things so I had to write. I know of the saying "doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is insanity" but isn't doing things differently and getting the same old results insanity too???? Just don't get it. Anyway.....wrote this poem.
I used to look up at night to the stars,
A sea of lights shimmering, breaking through the clouds.
I thought one day I may be near them,
That they would be a part of me,
But time slips by and takes away these stars.
In all that life has shown me,
And the blessings bestowed upon me,
I cant help but wonder,
Why all the other stars have faded,
Why my dreams have become so jaded,
As they fall from the sky with the passing days.
Moving through this life I still look up at night,
My first instinct after reading what you wrote was to say, "check your motives." Doing something different, with the expectation of getting what you want gets me in trouble and usually, I end up disappointed.
Then after reading your poem, I felt as if you probably have your motives in the right place, but have been disappointed anyhow. When this happens to me, I just keep telling myself that "for this moment in time" it must not be something God/Hp has in mind for me. For this moment in time, it is what it is and I leave my door open to God's/Hp's direction.
Well my friend just as you cheered me up with your helpful words, so shall I try to offer some perspective on your life.
Life isn't meant to be perfect, and we don't always get what we want. That doesn't mean good things won't happen in our lives, it just means that what we think we want is different than what we really need. Higher Power has some unknown plan for all of us. It would be impossible to second guess what that could be because my imagination is so much more limited than HP's. So whatever your problem my friend, give it to your HP, and pray for patience and clarity. If that doesn't work, write more poetry until you have enough for a book and sell the damn thing kiddo...you got talent!!!! Much Love SenoraBob

I know live seems low right now I completely understand trust me but the one thing that keeps me going is my HP and building that confidences in him that he knows what he is doing and knows the plan for my life!!!

Well I heard something at church the other day that really hit home for me. When I am overwhelmed I need to accept HP's will for me. I may not like it, but I need to accept it. Also when we are going through times that help make us strong, they usually aren't fun.

If we think that miracles are normal, we will expect them. And expecting a miracle is the surest way to get one.
No! I don't think trying things differently and getting the same results in insanity. I think that is just life. If you keep focusing on doing what you feel is the next right thing to do and trying to align with what you think your HP's will is for you, then you are doing great! Patience grasshopper!!!!!
I know patience is something I have been prayer for myself daily! I think that if we are patient and continue to focus on being the best we can be, and not try to force things....HP will put what he wants us to have in our path when he thinks we are ready.
Now as to the poem!! Wunnerful job of putting your feelings down!! Keep on writing!
As I sit here swallowing the lump in my throat for your inspirational, introspective thoughts, I remember how far you've come. I have been priviledged and honored to be a part of your life and watch you grow. It's no secret how amazing I think you are. Perhaps you do not realize how much of a difference you make in many of our lives. I can tell you first hand that when the call for service rang, you answered. For that, I am so grateful. For your tenacity and perserverance, I applaud you. You are making such a difference in these young people's lives just merely by being you.
It's true, patience, patience and your life will unfold it's magnificent package.

Thanks my dear, sweet friend for sharing your heart with all of us. I have often times felt like the light in my life has started to dim. I know that by writing those thoughts down and by sharing them that it gives them less power. My heart can hear the pain in what you have written, just remember nothing is lost. This path you are on will weave and turn and you may want to get off of it sometimes. Expectations have been a big struggle for me, tonight in particular, and that is what your poem made me think of. When I do something different and expect a different outcome... I am still IN the old behavior even though my approach has changed. Love ya buzzers!! Cyndee
