True perspective

Can anyone explain to me what the true perspective of the disease of alcoholism

really is Im still struggling with that.   Is it that the disease has no power over us.

For me, when I put it in its true perspective of being a disease, I knew I could not control it, so why bother messing with it? Just love my A and that is that.

Take care of me. Enjoyde my A when I could. If he was drunk or whatever, so what?

He is A he will relapse and get sick, lie, steal, get dui's, and more. But it had NO power over me, I had my own life.

Aism is truly NOT my problem, it has no power over me. All it is a disease, holding my loved one hostage.

Did this make sense? All I know is I am very, very happy. Aism no longer can mess with me.

Busbe,

Very good question, I have been asking that same thing for years................

The thing I get from your quote is, when you realize that the disease has total control over the addict, step away from the situation and take a total inventory of myself....So take back the life that living in the circle of addiction takes from you.

It is not easy by any means, it is a minute by minute process.....it is living.....that is just my opinion....taking back what we gave to the addiction......and wow what don't we give..........

Love To Ya,
