The material presented
here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method
to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
Today's page is a powerful lesson on perspective as the writer finds value in feelings they once saw as defects: anger, resentment, jealousy, and fear.
With applied effort, these feelings were used to make positive changes in their life.
Reminder - feelings may be uncomfortable at times, but that alone does not make them bad. Anything can be turned around and used for good if we choose to, especially those which spur us to make conscious contact with our higher power.
"My feelings are neither right nor wrong but are important by virtue of being mine." ...In All Our Affairs ---------------- Brilliant...this was a really helpful reminder this morning that my feelings are often just indicators of long held beliefs or perceptions of the world.
I can use them to power myself in a different direction or thought pattern rather than just expand and build on them...emotional repurposing!
Grateful for the reminders

"...when we try to control others, we lose the ability to manage our own lives." - Paths to Recovery
Thank you Paul for your service and timely reminder--perfect for me today. I've gotten a little stuck in feeling some anger and disappointment with my A. I know this is unhealthy for me and I need to let go and let God. I have reached out to my HP in a number of ways already this morning, and I plan to feel better as the day goes on. Live and let live ODAT.
