Hope for Today July 2

Good morning everyone-

Todays reading is about the benefits of alanon approved literature, especially for those who have difficulty with in person meetings. The writer describes feeling reluctant to reach out to people at meetings; a friend saw that and shared the benefits of reading the literature. Over time the writer accumulated a full library of publications and began to discuss them other members. The solitary nature of the readings paved the way for a more interactive experience with others.

I can understand the uneasiness of being at an in person meeting.  At first I did not like it at all! Much like the writer, readinf and writing on my own helped me to feel more confident when it was time to share with others.

The Thought for the Day says it Im this way:

Any entrance into Al-Anon is valid, even if at first its not the door to the meeting place.

I am grateful for my entry into Al-anon and for all of you!

I hope you enjoy a peaceful Sunday:)

Mary

Mary, thank you so much for your service and reading today.

I do agree about daily reading of Al-Anon literature because I do read everyday

and it is such a comfort staying close to the program when there is no face to face available.

Knowing there is MIP as well really helps me a lot too.
