C2C for April 21, 2023 Tradition Four the Benefits of Diversity

Today's reading reminds us that Tradition Four in Al-Anon helps us to understand that there is unity in diversity.

That each group is free to run their meetings how they see fit for the group, as long as it abides by the basic

principles and traditions of Al-Anon.  Meaning the structure and manner can be slightly different for each group's

comfort level.  Therefore, if one is not comfortable in one group they are free to find another that they are more

comfortable with.  Also, the fact that there are so many different types of people sharing as well as those different

methods of sharing makes for a greater learning experience as well, hence the benefits of diversity.

Todays reminder:  "In the perfect order of my Higher Powers world, all things are beautiful."  "I will pray to let

go of my own rigidity, that I might see the beauty of unity in diversity."

Todays Quote:  "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

I for one have the greatest appreciation for the diversity of the membership on this forum.  Over the years

I have learned more from this group than any other I belonged to.  Maybe because we are from all over the

world, which to me makes that big difference!!  {{HUGS}} to you all!!

What are your thoughts on this subject?

TGIF MIP Family!!

Thank you Debbie for your service and for all above ESH. "Unity in diversity" is a wonderful concept. If all people could practice this, I think the world would be a better place. But for now, I'm grateful for the acceptance of all the diversity I see in my alanon groups, which includes MIP. All of us have many things in common, not to mention the goal of recovering from the effects of alcoholism. Grateful member.

Good morning

All good shares here. I love that we are all so different yet still share a common goal and bond.

Have a good day!
