C2C, Monday, 3/20, how to evaluate worthiness

Some people judge their self-worth by their accomplishments and on what others say.  In this manner, a sense of satisfaction is fleeting.  But another part of self-worth can be by their ability to love others--saying a kind word, writing a considerate note, or just by appreciating someone else.  We can feel good about ourselves without evaluating our achievements or relying on others.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

My transition into adulthood was fraught with fear and doubt.  I did not have a consistent or good sense of self.  I often relied on others to define me and that's a train wreck waiting to happen.  Over the years I did improve, but it is this program that has given me a sense of consistency about myself.  Do I make mistakes and mess up at times?  Sure.  But especially the work with my sponsor allowed me to see a whole self, good and bad, and achieve a sense of self worth from the way I treat others:  the same way I wish to be treated.

Love this reading today Lyne, thank you so much for your service.

I needed this reminder because I do question my self worth by the quality of love

I receive from my spouse and I realize that my life is so much more than just this

marriage. Thank you Al-Anon!
