My Mom

Just talked to my Mom, and had the best news.....she had pneumonia, and is almost over it.  Weird to be glad about pneumonia, huh?  Well, to both of us,  it was good news, compared to what it could have been.  She is feeling much better, just finally having the news.  She was worried, she finally told me tonight, that the bad xray had something to do with her smoking, which she had quit over 30 years ago.  She didn't tell me that was her worry until tonight, but it was mine, too.

When will I ever get it through my thick skull to not project what may be.  I have wasted so much time worrying.  And life is so short.

Anyway, thanks and big hugs for all your support and prayers.  Keep reminding me to let go and let God.  In everything.

I love you guys so much.

Love in Recovery,

Becky1

What great news!

I am so happy for you and your Mum!

We are only human, so I believe that to worry about our loved ones is only natural.

I guess many of us are here as we became so sucked into our loved ones "ism's" and lost sight of what we really should be concerned about. We are learning to pick our "fights" in this wonderful life.

So glad you got good news, my Mum (72yo) is fighting cancer, got through a huge op and is currently undergoing Chemo. She is strong, in good spirits and is coping with it well. And for that I am grateful.

Give your Mum a big hug.

Thanks for all your well wishes.  Feather, I will pray for you and your Mom.  Give your Momma a big hug for me.  I hate it that I am almost 900 miles away from my Mom (made the move when I was young and dumb!)

I talk to her by phone a couple of times a week so we stay very close.

I guess I just received a lesson from my HP, who I call God, to stop projecting, to be still, and to enjoy life today.  Life is truly a gift, and is so short, we need not shorten it further by our constant worry!  Glad to know I'm not the only worry-wart, doxie!

((((((((((((((Becky)))))))))))))))),

Glad Mom is okay too. I think one of my worst faults is projecting! Darn it's a hard habit to break. grrrr! But I'll make you a deal: if you sense that I'm projecting you can kick me in the you know what! Okay! You're not alone in this. Give Mom an extra hug for me and tell her I said Happy Mother's Day.

Live strong,
Karilynn
