The author of todays reading found that when they treat others as they would want to be treated their world felt safer.

They discuss how in general a person gets back what they give out and that if they find themselves disliking someone for

a particular reason that it usually is because they do not like themselves for the same reason and the reverse can also be true.

Reminder:  "Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

I can see how projecting can cause unkindness/rudeness especially if I am feeling defensive.  Learning that I no longer need to justify

my thoughts/feelings/actions, just knowing that I am treating someone fair and kindly and that arguing serves no good purpose at all.

I would rather find beauty to be grateful for and move on, especially when the issues are not of a life threatening nature.

What are your thoughts on the subject?

Thanks Debbie for your service and share. I'm a strong believer in treating others as I want to be treated, even when it is not returned. When I can act in a mature, responsible manner towards others, it improves my confidence and self-esteem. This gets my vote!

Thank you Debbie for your service and helpful shares. Thanks for the reminders to treat others with courtesy, kindness and respect. I am ashamed to admit that I've been testy during a period when my spouse needs support. Grateful for message to keep my attitude/behaviour in check...be grateful and move on :)

Thanks Debbie, and everyone for your shares. I like what you have said here- "I'd rather find beauty to be grateful for and move on"- I think that sums up my attitude to most difficulties too
