To remain young while growing old is the highest blessing.

--German Proverb

**I think because I had really no childhood, i am doing it now..Letting my inner kid play and have fun...savor the laughter, playfulness, even some harmless mischief..As I heal, I feel like Peter Pan..

"Make rest a necessity, not an objective."

--Jim Rohn

***I now make it a point to go to bed at a decent time, AND when my body says its tired, I make sure I have my down time to rest..I do feel better since I made these lifestyle changes

"Action may not always bring happiness; but there is no happiness without action."

--Benjamin Disraeli

***True..my recovery decisions, lifestyle changes brought some pain, but I see progress, I see improvement, some actions like having to let go someone who is toxic can be sad, like the old lady up the street, I HAD to detach and let her go because she truly was toxic and downright abusive to be around, but I know it was for the best..I will always love the good "L"  but the toxic/abusive "L" was just too much for me...She is in a nursing home now, and I do pray for her,  I AM more serene and less stressed with her gone..I pray she will be OK there..

"The past is a guidepost, not a hitching post."

--L. Thomas Holdcroft

**OMG..the old Rosie, was absolutely stuck/owned by my past, but getting closer to my HP and journaling my feelings, doing yoga in addition to solid exercise program, prayer, casting the burdens of resentment, etc., is helping me...Yes, there will be times I will need to look back, but I don't have to stare!!!

Just catching these on Monday morning. Thank you for the tidbits!

My favorite is, "Friends are the sunshine of Life."
I don't think I have ever thought this is more true than during this pandemic. I miss my friends so much! I have tried connecting in other ways, for sure, but it isn't the same!

My second fav is the German proverb. Sometimes when I am harsh with myself and say, "You really don't act your age, PNP," I stop and tell myself, "Who cares?" I want to be young at heart!" And then I am honest with myself and realize that I am pretty serious most of the time, and very, very responsible. THAT is adult-like... who cares what others think about other things? I am responsible when I need to be, and where I need to be, and silly when it serves me!

Have a wonderful Monday, Rose! Thank you for sharing these!

(((((((((((((((((((((((((PNP))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) I love it that you enjoyed my Tidbits.....and yea, I can be serious as needed, silly as needed, as well...I don't have to be a "one size" fits all, I can be like popeye said "I am what I am and that is what I am" and I love to be free to be me......and OH yea, Covid has really curtailed my fac2fac relationships with my friends so we zoom and do video calls, we talk on phone, we have to be creative now...just think of the gratitude lists we will do when this craziness (Covid) is over with....I don't think I'll take any of my loved ones for granted ever again, having had to distance myself for this long.....thank God for video chats, etc, and phones....Cousin will come for visit soon, we are both OK , so it will be nice to see her, but her big bro, my favorite male cousin is in hospital, AGAIN, bless his heart and only one person at a time can visit him (he is in Mass.) but I did call him this AM and hes being discharged, MAYBE, tomorrow...I am making SURE to stay connected to my "keepers" as life is so tentative....
