A Saturday share...

 Steps 10,11,12...

The sun is streaming through my window, as I write.

Gratitude is a great asset... and it does start with baby steps- we fake it til we make it.

Our national programme radio playing in the background... wallpaper.

5 or 6 years ago I still thought and believed that I was 'god's gift to women"...

I surmised that this was the part of the seat of the emotions. Along with the need and desire to nurture future generations.

A criss-cross between the two, maybe?

A lot of my life I believed I was travelling in the dark. Unconscious and missing out on reality.

I was missing out on emotions, surely... ...so that most of the events in my life were not marked by fun and laughter.

We were new generation- and a new generation emerging. With issues to address and also things to do.

Amongst several things happening was the move towards emancipation for women. This is ongoing.

I reflect on people I had let down- or where trust was betrayed. This is more a step 10, rather than 8 or 9.

And times I have been betrayed- usually by the previous generation. And- all the way along- I had vowed to put things right- create new cultures and ways of living.

I was a facebook friend to Betty... amongst a few of us. I knew more about here that I would have as a neighbour.

Same with my brothers and cousins- also my local community here. There are some bads with digital technology- but in the right hands it is a treasure.

I think of the day when homes got fridges, and washing machines. Television sets. Big changes.

The technology gets under the radar of Covid-19...

But the backyard beckons... digging and planting. Pruning time is over.

I pause to do a brief step 11. I breathe. Stretch... all is well, so far...

...one day at a time. aww

Hi David--Practicing gratitude today. My internet service is down from the hurricane at my other home, where I will be going until Wednesday. Have an eyelid issue and going to try a tele-appt. since I can't see my eye doc until the end of August. Have an issue with condensation causing corroded pipes and condensation in my condo--have contacted the plumber. Without program, all of this would be too much for me. I will follow your lead, one day at a time.

smile Lyne... I was so proud of myself- just made a simple share- and did not follow up with extras, later.

I had needed to do that. Still finding that serenity- before old age catches up. That Hurricane was a worry- and we have friends and family in that part of the world. Along with all the rest! Testing times...
