If You Want God to Laugh, Tell Him Your Plans

On Tuesday night, I went to one of my home groups. They are still meeting online and a few of the members were waffling about re-opening, having in person metings, they think they should wait, have a little patience, etc etc etc. Personally, I'm an in-person kind of guy and I think they should re-open, just my opinion. I been to a few face to face meetings and they are okay if you follow the restrictions. I don't like all the rules. For example, I like to bring cookies to the meetings, to encourage fellowship. They don't want me to bring cookies because they don't want to encourage fellowship just yet. I think I see the point. I just don't like it. But, who said I had to like it. I may have made a comment in my share at my group that if they didn't get off their asses and re-open that I might need to find another group. I'm not always cute and cuddly.

So, tonight, we have a small Family Group meeting that was meeting online but recently re-opened and we meet on our deck and I always make treats. I baked cookies this week and made blueberry cheesecake and it was going to be great. And then, some unforseen circumstances developed and we had to have the meeting online. Tomorrow night, we have a meeting which will also be an online meeting.

Little Johnny, surely you remember Little Johnny, he told his teacher he was having trouble with math and he asked for a bit of help so his teacher gave him more math homework. I told my Higher Power I was having trouble with being patient, so he gave me situations in which I will have to be patient.

Oh Wolfie - I hear you and yes, yes, yes! We talk often around here that God seems to have a wicked sense of humor at times....the good news - there are just more lovely goodies for you all to enjoy while limited/staying at home.

I did decide yesterday that I was officially tired of the virus. I am more than ready for it to 'move on'. Well - clearly what I want or think should happen has no bearing on reality, yet it felt good to own it! Before Recovery (BR), I rebelled against everything and everyone. In Recovery, I really try to be compliant and to follow rules. I don't always like it yet feel it is best for the 'whole'. So, owning my own feelings towards the current state of affairs helped me realize yet again how powerless I really am over so, so many things!

Love and light to you and yours! Enjoy your goodies - I know I would!! (((Hugs)))
