Wake and funeral arrangements for Betty

With Peters permission:

Bettys wake will be at The Peter Jarema Funeral Home, 129 East 7th Street, (between Avenue A and First Avenue), Thursday March 5, 2-9pm.  This is NYC for those who are not local.

The funeral service will be at the Immaculate Conception Church, 414 East 14th St., (just off First Avenue and 14th Street, Friday, March 6 @ 9:30.  He is not sure what the after plans are yet i.e. if people are going out for a meal.

It seems a bit surreal to be writing this information.  Lyne

Thank you Lyne for your continued efforts to provide us with updates/information. Sending you tons of (((hugs))), positive energy and hopeful strength as you continue your grieving process. I will attend in spirit only and know that Betty is dancing with the angels, her son, my beloved who've passed from this life. Be gentle with you Lyne and know we're here for you as best we can be.

Thank you ((((Lyne)))).

I will rejoice and celebrate her life in spirit, as I live on the other coast. Godspeed, Betty.

I went to Betty's home meeting, in lower Manhattan. I had to do a dummy run in the afternoon to find the venue- finding my way through the rabbit warrens, that is the NY subway.

I can tell a small part of Betty's story, now, because it became a story for me- and helped anchor me to New York.

Betty worked in the World Trade Centre in New York.

One day she got a call from Stephen, and took a day off work to spend time with him.

That was the day of 9/11. It saved her life. It gave her time to reach out to others, including us. smile ...
