The Forum..2/2020

Good morning family...Hope you are all fine and dandy and spiritually happy and in balance.

I don't know how many have elected to subscribe to the Forum,  our Al-Anon monthly magazine.  We do and often it is the rag that polishes my recovery.

This morning I reconnected with a lesson my deceased sponsor passed on to me years ago that did much to turn around my thinking, feelings and behaviors.  The passage by Kat C. in California In part is "...I had to replace the negative thoughts, feelings and behaviors with their opposites, which as my sponsor taught gets me the opposites of what I was suffering from."   Rocket Science and as a former NASA employee that worked very well.  I still do it.

Again good morning and I  hope Kat's wisdom helps.    ((((Hugs)))) wink

Thank you, Jerry.

I am working daily on replacing negative thoughts into positive ones. Sometimes they make me giggle... like yesterday: "Ugh! I am not feeling great and I HAVE TO go to work!
No, PNP.... you GET TO go to work!!!"

Off I go!

jerry, you made me laugh -- "the rag that polishes my recovery" -- I love it! They should put this on the cover of The Forum. I do subscribe to that magazine, and while I don't always find a share that resonates with me, I do often enough that it's worth the subscription.

Replacing and reframing negative thoughts is a great tool to keep sharpened in my toolbox.
