One of those days

And hopefully only a day only.  Geez gonna go sit on my HP's lap and just be quiet  and still and hopeful.  The majority of people around me are upset and pissed and I am powerless.  So what do I gotta do?  If I am powerless...turn it over and let it go and not do anything to excite while dodging the flying objects and not making stink eye return looks right?

I am open to suggestions in case my attempts don't work.   Pleeeeeze  (((hugs))) confuse

Sorry Jerry. Maybe just stepping out to meeting, for a walk or somewhere peaceful to feel a union with hp. Of course there's always the old stand by, repeating the Serenity Prayer and concentrating on each word as we let go of that over which we have no control. Wishing you the best, taking your power back to live your day fully despite others misery making. (((hugs)) TT

(((Jerry))) - Love your Plan A - sit in the lap of HP! I do hope it worked well and brought YOU to a place of peace. It sure is difficult to detach in the midst of insanity, but it is possible. These are those moments when I seriously and consciously focus on what's working well vs. what's not...gratitude lists, long walks with HP, meetings, readings and the like certainly help too. When all else fails, I have been known to take a shower or a nap - both relax me and remove me from the difficult places/people. (((Hugs))) to you and yours!

I hope HP has room for me as well. Im trying to accept the reality of living with my A which is not the way I want things but hey, Im powerless. Im surrounding myself with program this morning and will go outside with my dogs as soon as it warms up a bit more. Im not going down with this ship, but maybe treading water a bit. Its exhausting but Im choosing my path and with program I know I will be fine.

Good luck Jerry-you will be fine as well , Lyne

Mahalo Family for your suggestions and love and I will follow thru from Betty's suggestion down to  David G's.  I cannot and will not add to the abuse of Jerry F.  Abandoning myself to God as I understand God.  Back   to  Prayer and meditation.   (((hugs))) confuse

((((((Jerry))))))

You have great suggestions here.
I think that you are in the prime location for one of my favorites: Go into nature. Commune. Find your peace.

PnP you are absolutely accurate.  I was sharing with another Al-Anoner and my wife this afternoon that my Higher Power used your awareness with me yesterday and I knew I was blessed.  I participated as I attempt always to do yet the beauty around me with it's spiritual power shows me who always causes it to happen.  Can't say often enough...Thank you God.   (((hugs)))  biggrin

Great to hear you are balance again, Jerry! Tuning into your HP (however works for you) is the key!

I am finding that within nature is the great peace and chasm of knowledge... something that I have always known, yet have moved away from as I got older and busier. Now I make a point to get my bare feet to touch Mother Earth at least 30 minutes once a week. It is called "Grounding." Something I did intuitively as a kid/teen (hardly ever wore shoes if I could help it! LOL!) is now serving me as an adult! It's all good!

And I am bless to wake up to our literature and a meditation after reading.  Those who have come before me keep me balanced and I need the practice often.  The daily readings today are awesome.  Mahalo Akua...Thank you God.   ((((hugs)))) smile

I had one today! God doesn't put anything in front of us that we can't handle.

No one on my staff listened to me today. No one did what I asked them to. I got bad news from the dentist. A good friend's mother passed away. A relationship I thought had promise, and hoped would progress, will not and the that occurring has to be my decision. My daughter is struggling, and her mother is making things worse. There's more. But, for here, lastly, my allergies are acting up and I am very tired.

Focus on the next thing in front of me. The very next one thing. SELF-CARE. Dentist, doctor, meds. Done. Then, on to the next one thing after that.

Thanks for sharing all.

Bo conditions such as yours became practice for me no matter how and when they showed up.  This was how I learned the program works when we work it as I am sure you also understand.  It wasn't a  matter of beating it...just he experience of letting God and letting go.  Practicing admitting I was/am powerless doesn't only mean over alcoholism.

Saturday morning my letting go practice included using a cultural chant  which metaphors the disappearance of darkness with the rising of sunrise and then next my concern which is visual from miles away disappeared completely for over 20 minutes, more than enough time to strengthen my spirit and weaken my doubt and concern.  God did for me what I have never been able to do for myself over years.

Thanks,,,(((hugs)))
