I drained my battery- but glad of it... Steps 10, 11 and 12...

This younger man appeared on my doorstep. At a vital time of my life. His mum and dad had taken me in and supported me. But i know Fr. was a problem drinker. He was a priest in the Anglican Church. A double binder for a lot of people. He had eventually killed himself...

I spent a day with K. He had been only child. He liked seeing places where he had spent family time. The following day I had stuff to do. But the next day I went out and did the same thing again- in a different river valley.

But I felt downforce three or four days after that. Suicide was a big thing in my family too. Even if we had grieved- that would have been tough enough. But facing the consequences of suicide is well beyond imagination. It is final.

But I am pleased I did that stuff- and faced it head on.

I would like to see a world where this happens much less... and, yes i still have dreams and ideals. Tailored to the things I can change.

The little things. Towards people who are close to me. Taking care of my own space.

Thanks for the share... aww ...

Hi David-I have been close to a number of people who experienced suicides with their friends or families. As you said, it is a final action to which one cannot come back from. And to the loved ones left, there is such pain that they didnt know, or had an idea but didnt know what to do, guilt, anger, etc. Its a very sad occurrence in our society. God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference, Lyne
