Tomorrow's reading is one of my favorites. The writer talks about waking up and feeling behind already! Previous to the disease kicking up in life, morning were special and joyous. Not so with the disease. Instead going to bed was stressful as was getting up.
The reading continues to discuss change by working Al-Anon recovery. A clearer mind, calm in the morning, opened ears to listen, learn and enjoy the present. The last line is spot on - upon awakening, the writer says, "Good Morning God" vs. before, "Good God, it's morning!"
Reminder -- Today I'll be keenly aware of my senses. I will think about what I am experiencing at this moment. I won't let the beauty of this day slip by unnoticed.
Quote -- "Real generosity toward the future consists in giving all to what is present." from Albert Camus

I really like this reading - it summarizes exactly what recovery has done for my life! I arrived to recovery very broken and full of stress and anxiety. I wrapped myself in the chaos/drama of my A's life(s) and felt like a huge failure and fraud as I could not fix, control, cure, etc. I did go to bed and wake up from bed full of stress and anxiety.
Today, it's very different! I do now slow my role and seek guidance from HP before I go about my day. I usually wake with an attitude of gratitude, and if I don't, I work to fix that. This program has given me back my joy for mornings as well as peace of mind and serenity!
Enjoy your day tomorrow MIP family!

I no longer project,do keep the focus on myself , do not gossip and have courage to do what I once thought impossible. I showed up yesterday at the dentist, had a tooth extracted and returned home without an issue., Hurry for me and program.

I love this! It is now how I try and greet the day. I also take time before my work day to jump on this board and ground myself. I get up 2 hours before I "have to" just to do so.
I could never have done that before... the level of exhaustion was incredible! I barely made it through each day... so I really identified with the line I highlighted.
I hope everyone has a great Thursday! It is threatening rain here - I just wish it would do it!! LOL!

IAH-Thank you so much for this reading and your share. All the shares are great! I too was a bundle of anxiety most days, was always in the past and future, and dreaded the day I had. Thanks to program, I have a new attitude! I have gratitude! I try to keep my head over my feet! And most of the time, it works. Progress not perfection and ODAT, Lyne
