the Guy Up Stairs

I'm back again. I actually never really left. I might have mentioned I went back to work (in January). That seemed to be going well, but in the end I lost the job. The why is irrelevant. Losing the money sucks but that's the ways the cookies crumble. A few days afterward, I had a conversation with the Guy Up Stairs (I just call him Gus.) I told Him I had all this extra time now and could he please give me something to do. Next day I go to a meeting. A female member whom I know comes up to me and starts telling me her son could use some of my wisdom. I don't know how much wisdom I have, but I been sponsoring her son now for about 5 weeks. Once again, the Guy Up Stairs knew just what I needed.

Anyhow. Stay safe., I'll be popping in here and there now that I have the time

The Guy upstairs...LOL.  Good to see and hear you again Wolfie and you almost had me stumped...almost because I now am aware that my HP walks side by side with me...HP's choice...and appreciates the company.   Good on you walking with that young man...it's how we work.   ((((hugs)))) aww

Good to see you Wolfie - I too love the beard!! So sorry about the job thing but HP clearly has a better plan for you.

One of my grandson's name is Augustus and we call him GUS! I will forever now be reminded of the Guy Up Stairs when I am with him or thinking of him - that's AWESOME!!

Best wishes for you and your new sponsee - may you both grow in recovery. (((Hugs)))

Good to see familiar faces. It's no big secret that I'm a member of alanon and a member of AA. My sobriety date is next Friday (21 years). The young fella is going to present me with my medallion. We were talking about that today and I said he'd have to find something nice to say about me. He said that would be easy, I'll just let them know you saved my life and that you make good pizza (we always eat something when he comes to visit). I admit that choked me up a bit.

As for the beard, I do something in my community in December that requires a beard, a belly, and a red suit. I got all three now. :)

Okay brother we got a picture of the beard and know what the red suit looks like.  Now a picture of the belly would make this complete.    Naw not serious.  ((((hugs)))) aww
