it ain't easy but it is worth it!

Every trial every issue every problem has a solution. I know that end it will be worth it. I have struggled & still struggle. Sometimes I want to give up but God isn't finished w me. My purpose is getting clearer as time goes by. I was reminded to focus on myself even though the reminder came from someone who feels their POV is justified. I just try to find the truth in it all. I can only give what I already have. A person can't go to a well to drink only if there is water in the well. When I find myself thirsty I can be filled only what is there that I can draw from. So if this make sense to anyone look for someone who has what you want & find common ground through this program. I could not recover w out all of you. Take what you like & leave the rest. I will be here for those who need me & in turn receive from you all what you have.

I am kind of wallowing with "What's my purpose now?" kind of thing, so this has helped me today. I liked reading your posts in the past, so I am glad you are here! Thank you for being a part of my journey!

Days are seeming to be a lot easier now that I posted this last post. I guess what I really need to contact all of you. I feel relieved knowing that some of you are & have followed my posts. I don't feel like I am on an island that way. I am just glad that I have a place to go when I need a little refresh & a reminder of where I am & where I want to be. It doesn't have to be all about the alcoholic in my life or the past alcoholics that have been in my life. I try not to hold to many memories that darken my days. It is much easier to remember something & just move on. I feel some serenity when I do so.

I love you all! And as I already said: I thank you for following me & being a part of my recovery.

Kathleen

smile Nice to hear, Kathleen... it is nice to have a moment of joy, now and again.

It's a cool spring day here in NZ- and Saturday morning... I hope to listen to the birds, once in a while...

Of out to my home settlement to a community workshop at 11. I have shone my shoes already.

Just sifting through some bitter sweet memories- and trying to but on 'my brave face'.

Our valley floor was flooded 25 years ago- and it bought changes welcomed, and some not so welcome...

...this along with the alcoholism in the family and in the community...

i have been to umteen dozen meetings in my life, as you will realise... but even so this is this tension- a good sign really, ah supposes... biggrin ...

(((Hugs))) Kathleen - I so agree! Life brings about events that have nothing to do with alcohol and I can still find ESH to help from the program, program friends, etc. I am grateful for my recovery family and that includes you!
