The material presented
here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method
to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
I am printing the entire thread on When Denial Breaks.
What a lovely group of people are here. I am constantly amazed at the wisdom and compassion and generosity you all possess. .
I think that whatever problem one might have, reading the entire thread will give direction, clues, answers. And I see that some of our heavy hitters haven't weighed in yet, so I will be watching for more. Thank you to everyone--the original poster and all those who have, and will, give of themselves and share what you have learned/been given.
Loves!
Temple

gratitude is one of the main symptoms of recovery...
...for me it just came on slowly- little by little- so I am so glad I started coming- right from the get go...
I used to say [my pet saying] "ah went from the paralysis of analysis to an attitood of gratitood... ..."
No one know but ourselves how sick and confused we were... it was diabolical. But somehow things changed. Being in a haven of hope helps- the Alanon rooms...
and we carry this back to the world- little by little- poco a poco...
as we inch closer and closer to being long timers in the programme- we join the momma bears and the poppa bears, like ourselves, who have gained the knowledge and understanding of the programme- and we all still are, of course- still learning... ...
...ah things this is one of the rewards of recovery- to still feel young- with lots and lots left to do!!! Yay!!! ...
I agree with the others Temple...Keep coming back...And I am grateful , too, that you are sharing the journey...Like what David said about drawing the circle around yourself.............Good to see you
