CTC. 2-10

C2C reading for sat 2-10  speaks of how we do not appreciate our  talents  and creative gifts after living with the disese of alcoholism.  It suggests that we take the time, to look within and discover the creative energy that dwells within.    Once we see this energy  we  can develop this energy by takng small steps in that direction.

The quote from  T Roosevelt is:"Do what you can with  what you have, where you are" great suggestion.........LU

Have a Great Day ((((((((everyone))))))))))

Dear Lu Thank you so much for posting your thoughts on today's reading . I know I spent so much of my time taking care of others that I had little time to look within to discover and nurture my 'creative energy".

Love your new Avatar Milo is adorable.  Thanks for your service  Enjoy your day

Thank you for your service lookingup! I forgot what imagination was when I got here. The dis-ease of trying to manage everyone around me stole every aspect of this. Lately it also includes enough hope to get me into some new classes. Before coming in here, the exhaustion and distractions would never have allowed my imagination to even think I may be able to do other things:)

Have a great Saturday everyone! Stay warm!

Good morning MIP! Thank you LU for the daily and your service. Thanks to all above me for your ESH and shares. Love the adorable fur-baby!!!

I was lost when I arrived and so focused beyond me that I had no idea who I was - let alone what my strengths/interests were. Recovery has helped me see things differently within me and others and has helped me find the courage to try new things. I still struggle with the word creative - only because my definition is narrow. I am one who can't draw a straight line or a circle! So - creative to me = artistic and boy howdy - I could use some practice and 'more' in that arena!!!

I do believe today after working this program and the steps that much of my defects were actually assets that were exploited in me because of my insanity and this disease. Letting go of 'that' has given me the freedom to forgive, trust and explore life in a new/different way. Grateful!!

Off to a meeting in a while. Then shopping & cleaning as the 'little people' are coming for a sleepover. They always bring me genuine deep joy - excited is an understatement!!! (((Hugs))) to all - make it a great day!

Good morning! Thank you for your service Lookingup I love today's reminder and the T Roosevelt quote really speaks to what I needed to hear.

I remember my Mom telling me many years ago that I do more than most people and am so hard on myself for not accomplishing enough. I now realize she didn't just say that because she was my Mom.

I've been a little stuck in a demotivating cycle... feeling not good enough, then procrastinating that only confirms the negative.... however, in fair balance I'm on the mend from an old back injury re-surfacing I was unable to be my usual full-steam - ahead. So, I imagine that my truth lies somewhere in-between. I am tired and need to rest. I need to also check things off of my list so that I don't fall further behind.

Wishing everyone a wonderful and serene day!

 THIS! SO THIS!

Thank you for your service today, Lookingup! This post (and other's ESH) obviously spoke to me, about me today. I particularly like Teddy Roosevelt's quote: "Do what you can, with what you have, where you are."

This was especially important for me to read today, as this week I have been tired, overworked, and things that need attention are piling up (that always makes me anxious). As well as several expensive things are coming at me all at once and I don't have the means to attend to them. It makes me sad (so lots of crying) then angry at my situation... then the STBXRAH.  This is never a good head-space for me to be in. This statement alone helped me see I can only do what I can with what I have.

My mind knows I need to embrace the slogan, "It is what it is." But it is so damn hard to do when you hate what "It" is from the very core of your soul!

Off to class today... a good distraction for sure!

Be well everyone!
