Hope for Today Jan 21

Good morning Everyone-

Todays reading is about the Alateen program and sponsorship within Alateen.  I dont have any experience with Alateen so I cannot speak to this with any personal connection.

The reading did remind me again about how vital my relationship with my sponsor has been in my recovery. It is a connection I have with someone which is unique in comparison to all other relationships in my life, and I am grateful for it!

I am interested to read responses from those who have had some experience with Alateen-and I hope everyone enjoys their Sunday!

Mary

Good Morning Mary I o not have any such experience to share but wanted to Thank You for your continued service . Knowing that sponsoring a fellow member of alanon is so rewarding, I can imagine that sponsoring an alateen group would certainly be equally enriching.
I too will sit back and wait fro responses. :0

Thanks Mary and all for your thoughts/shares. Thanks also for the daily and your service Mary. I am also without experience for Al-Anon, and wish I could speak differently. I too am grateful for my sponsor and the many lessons recovery gives me. Make it a great Sunday - off to a meeting in a bit and then a day of ... football!!

I was an Alateen sponsor many years ago now... helped run a group for a while.

I found it worked much better for kids whose parents were in recovery- and parents who supported their kids' participation.
