The material presented
here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method

information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
Good late morning MIP family....I apologize for the late posting of the daily.
Courage to Change for today discusses our hopes, goals and promises of Al-Anon in a general way. Everyone who plays a part in our lives offers something we might learn. Many reflect the same qualities and values as us and then others - not so much....perhaps the opposite. Yet each is placed in our path for a reason and our program allows us to learn how to grow, change, heal and deal no matter if the 'other' is a mirror or a teacher.
The reading suggests we pause and consider what's the purpose and lesson when we get impatient with a share or when we take offense at a loved one's inattention. Is this a teacher or a mirror? We can ask our HP to help us perceive the gifts.
Today's Reminder --- One reason I come to Al-Anon is to learn to develop healthy, loving relationships with myself and others. I recognize that I need other people. I will welcome those my Higher Power brings to me today.
Today's Quote --- "Separate reeds are weak and easily broken; but bound together they are strong and hard to tear apart."

I came to Al-Anon with a broken sense of self. I felt less than or equal to almost everyone I encountered and often viewed others through a very judgmental lens. I am grateful the program has gifted me with the ability to respond instead of react and has taught me how to keep my power.
I'm grateful for what I've learned in recovery and most of all for how it's made me want to be a different/better/healed/happy version of me.
Make it an awesome day family!!

Good Morning IAH Thanks for this reminder. I never did look for the lessons in a situation prior o program. Today i have an open mind and heart (thanks to program) and willingly acknowledge HP and the wisdom each day provides.
Thanks for your service.
