12 step prayer book Nov.1, 2017

Today's entry goes into our commitments to go to the meetings....and to NOT look for the differences, but the similarities in our fellow "roomies"

To look for the GOOD in everything that is shared...It reminds us to praise the sober and pray for the drinking and usingaddicts.

Also it reminds us that it does matter if the met was good or bad...The big thing is that we showed up

****************************************************

I know when I go to meets, fac2fac or online, I used to do the "don't do's" above  however now when I go, I look for the blessings..The good lessons..The messages that help me and I cannot do that if  I don't pay attention and have an OPEN heart and mind...I do this in ALL my interactions with people..Look for that nugget of knowledge and growing opportunity, be it small or big.. A blessing is a blessing..Big and small..........

Hi Rose thanks for sharing this important thought. i agree, meetings are a must for me even after all these years!! Learning how to be with others in a constructive sharing environment, with an open mind without my usual judging, and comparing has been extremely important to my recovery and happiness.
Appreciate this service.
