I'm grateful grateful for the doors of understanding and keys to action that alanon has given me. My current state of eye rolling rests in thinking that every bs drama can simply be explained as the byproduct of addiction. Its really not that complicated! I know enough now to resist the urge to force it. But still I think it and it frustrates me. Recovery! It's free! It's nondenominational and it makes sense. Why must we as humans complicate things? Its tiring to live with or even vacation with.

I agree A41 My FOO is just as puzzling. They simply refuse to accept basic reality. I keep using my program and i am pleased you do too. I must admit I am tempted at times to explode and react as I did in days gone by but program is solid and deep down I understand and accept that if I do I am only hurting myself an nothing will change.

I love them dearly as that's what I was raised with. Yet each time we part company, I am so grateful that I found a path that works for me....it is recovery and I too am grateful. (((Hugs)))

Thanks a41 for sharing this ,
I find it hard to be around my foo,
Slowly I'm learning to use all my tools,and do,
Which helps me visit with foo,
I catch myself more these days in wanting to explode,and can put it away.......hugs..lu
