My mums here, were working on some cultural stuff. Its good. But I'm so drained. All these years I thought I was a lazy princess, I wasn't. I just get totally drained. Funny. Love her to pieces but god I'm tired.

"Lazy princess"  indeed with small children and managing a home how can that be?aww  It is great that you achieved this awareness so that now  you ask  HP to remove that negative judgment

Family can be exhausting. Holidays can be like that for me, you love them but can't wait for everyone to go home.

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!!! I hope you two have a great visit and time together. I'm with Betty - do what you can to let go of that thought - life can be so very tiring especially when we are working hard to be a better version of ourselves. Add to that chores, children, etc. and it's no wonder we are tired!!

I can relate, but for a different reason. My dog with cancer is eating today! Each day I have to search for what she will eat, and what she ate yesterday she often won't eat today. I cook her ground beef and chicken and at times she just walks away. It's so much work but I am determined to get her throught her chemo. I am happy but drained as well, Lyne

I think FOO is naturally draining .. I was having a conversation with a gf who just moved back in with her parents. It made me LOL .. it IS draining under the best of circumstances forget about regular dysfunction issues.

The idea of my mom coming for a visit is draining. That's just part of her personality .. it's not to say we don't have a good time .. it's to say it's just draining to constantly have someone who is soooo needy.

Enjoy your time and thankfully I can do anything for a short amount of time .. LOL. :)
