Courage To Change 15/4

Today's C2C is about personal safety.

It begins by reminding us that when people come to al-anon, they often have a lot of questions that they want answers to. Should I stay? Should I leave? What should I do about the financial/practical/(insert difficulty here) problem?

The reading suggests that people come to al-anon to find their own solutions and that we ought support people to find their own answers.

Progress is hard to see when we measure it by comparative standards.

The reading reminds us that it is progress, and not perfection that we seek.

"keep adding, little by little, and you sill soon have a big hoard".

Hi Ms. M. Living with the disease of alcoholism many of us experience different painful aspects of the disease. I love the fact that in alanan we respect each other to the point that we are a fellowship of equals.

The spiritual principles of alanon reinforce the belief that we all have the answer within and that we must go inward to find our HP and the right choices for our lives. No one can tell us what to do and instead can offer tools to live by , a supportive newtwork of people who truly understand.
As you found we are all too human and some do not abide by the concepts and traditions, this is when we can learn to use the new tools we are developing such as : detaching, saying what we mean, validating ourselves etc.

I am pleased that you kept coming back and appreciate your service.
