im not to good at sharing which is a defect of mine needing much work.
im very grateful to all of you here on this board that's shared and replied to all that I have shared,
land for sharing my journey also,
as I come out of my Denial I'm beginning to really learn ,here and there,sometimes in leaps.
although it's in my mind ,it's gradually beginning to reach my heart,lifting huge burdens off of me,
my vocabulary is changing to more positives more each day,when I interact with others alanon comes out likes its natural.
strange happenings lie majic,I'm half of a hundred years old,lol,just heard that one the other day ,I had to say that made me laugh till my belly hurt.
i live a more serene ,positive life today,I'll forever be thankful to a loving hp ,sponsor,step work,tools,dailies,list goes on.
im forever grateful to all of you to ,for without y'all this would not have been possible for any of us to be able to heal,
we would have been forever living in the insanity of this disease,
i do love the fact of I'm no longer responsible for the other person in my life ,I can now live my life ,my life not others lives any more,I can let go let live,living in today only ,staying in touch with my sponser daily,
change me bless them ,took me a minute for that one to really sink in,I got it.
having compassion for the qualifiers ( loved ones ) in my life ,I have compassion for them,then I let go much easier today,
im no longer living with the disease in my home other than my own disease,so I can much better work on me,
which I know my hp as I understand him ,knew that I needed to be alone to better be able to work on me,not easy,gets lonesome I can tell ya,it's all so worth it.
im gonna stop right here cause if I keep typing I'll start crying ,happy tears.
i wanted to let all of y'all here on this board know just how grateful I really am for each and every one of you,
with out you and this board ,and john f,may he rest in peace,
i don't think I'd be here today,I've bounced off and on this board for years always trying to control others thats been affected.
up till December 2015 was then I hit my bottem,sickest I'd ever been,
i have to say a very nice helpful lady came to me from here and pm me asking if she could sponsor me,I'll never forget that day,
i do know now that she was sent to me ,perfect timeing,by my hp,she's prolly reading this now,thank you so much.
today I have another sponsor that I'm grateful for ,that's been helping me through the rest of my steps,
i may only have one recovery in me and this may be it,,,,,thanks. And many hugs going out to y'all,,,,,,,,lu

I still have a long ways to go with this program of learning ,coming out of the muk little by little,(whew)
Feeling tons better ,healthier,it's amazing.
I do slip quiet often ,I've learned to get back up ,not stay in the sit.
I may have jumped all around with my share ,there was so much I wanted to say just couldn't get it all out there,
I got to the point,main thing,
I read a lot now a days ,love reading the board,which is my main readings ,enjoyed all the replies ,and adding my own esh when I can .
A bit shy at times ,being this is a global board,more stage fright I think,that to shall pass.
((LU)) You are indeed a Miracle in Progress. I too appreciate this post and your honesty and clarity as to your recovery and process. One Day at a time, focused on ourselves, trusting HP we do recover. The alanon message moves from our heads to our hearts (as you so wisely indicated) and that is when we can truly appreciate our new found compassion, serenity and and wisdom. I have been in program for many years and understand that i need to practice this program everyday or I will slowly relapse into my old ways.

Hi "LU"... Love your share. The amazing thing is that this Alanon board is worldwide. Alcoholism is a worldwide disease, and the negative effects on the family are being squashed out by the worldwide fellowship of Alanon. God is good.

LU mahalo for this share of ESH and Gratitude. Your are the ones I love so much because they show me that our program "works when you work it". Grateful that I have been allowed to watch yours and the recovery journeys of so many others so that I could also let go of my own denial which used to say to me "okay so it works for others and will not work for me". I was very unwilling to try until I had no other options. Thanks LU for the encouragement. I will keep coming back. ((((hugs))))
Thanks to all of you and Mip for making it possible for me to relearn different ,healthier ways in which to live my life,I feel I've gained so so much here in Mip,I'm getting my wings ,
A kind word goes out to the new ones who have just arrived to mip,alanon ,to please do not give up,it does work ,with time and devotion,you to will experience great joy and peace ,it works if you work it ,your so worth it.
I do often have to remind myself that it's progress not perfection,along with other slogans ,
Today is a new day,with new beginnings,we can start over as many times as we need,it's not a race,
It's a one day at a time or min,or sec,that we live .........hugs lu
