I agree Jerry. We all need to keep showing up and placing principles above personalities. We will then continue to share our serenity and wisdom as John so intended .

Perfect reminder and agree completely! I heard early on in recovery that showing up is more than half way 'there' - where ever there is....(((Hugs))) to all.

David I took my thoughts of John to my morning home group.  I also took my gratitude and processed it along with my attendance here ever since I found this family and my spirit wandered thru the process John took to get MIP and then us here.  I had a sense of awe and amazement for the principles of compassion and determination he had to bring it this far which inspired my own determination and loyalty for this family.

When anyone, anywhere reaches out for help I want the hands of MIP and my own to always be there and for that I am responsible.  Mahalo again John...((((hugs)))) smile

I am grateful for John who started MIP, and am optimistically hoping this board will continue. How long has it been in existence? It is because of MIP I found an amazing sponsor, and got the courage to go to a F2F meeting, which I have been attending faithfully for close to 4 years. The collective ESH from everyone is inspiring. With appreciation, Lyne

I know you have to also understand Lyne like the many other old timers on this board...Your ESH is a lantern also before the footsteps of the fellowship.  I have used your ESH to guide me in this journey wh ich among other things prove to me that time in the program isn't the hallmark.  (((hugs))) smile

Our meeting today was about, "When anyone, any where reaches out...." - and I got to share a bit about John and MIP. I love how MIP has allowed us to connect, world-wide at any time - day or night. I found MIP when I was truly hopeless and full of self-hate. It gave me solace and comfort when I wasn't quite sure what to do in that moment, and continues to do so when I am uncertain today.

Coming here and reading about other people's ESH gives me hope and changes my thinking.....MIP is a great gift that John left for us all and those yet to come!

(((Hugs)))

I am fond of saying, "Any room where the Twelve Steps are studied and practiced is a good place to be." The rooms of recovery are where one can find hope and tools for living, and that includes the virtual rooms of MIP. My gratitude goes out to John for carrying the message in his own way.
