2016 - My Gratitude List

2016... What a year!!! I figured I would start listing things that I am grateful for:

1. My dear AH. I almost lost him in July from the horrid affects of alcoholism. He went into rehab after the health crisis and has been sober ever since (Drank for +45 years). His health has definitely improved. Our relationship has been more like when we originally met 41 years ago.

2. That his alcoholism led me to All Anon where I too am recovering. My brother's and sisters there inspire me to better. Each is a lovely person, unique in thought and experience.

3. My dear AS is coming to the realization that he needs help. Unheard of 6 months ago.

4. I have 2 wonderful grandsons whom I dearly love. They are happy, well adjusted, good boys.

5. I have a lovely daughter (grandsons' mom). We are very close, very close!

6. I have a home, food in my belly, heat in my home, etc.

7. For the first time in our lives we are no longer barely existing financially.

8. I have a Higher Power who loves, guides, and protects me.

9. I have people who care for me and I them.

10. I have a job that I enjoy.

So as not to be you all, I'll stop now. The list could go on all night. Those are top on my gratitude list

Great list Liz14 - I too am filled with gratitude often/daily for all the blessings in my life. I went to a meeting yesterday and our topic was about attitudes and gratitude - great topic and perfect for this time of year. Make it a great day!
