Chosing to believe

While our son and his wife are not communicating with us in any way because they are so angry, modern technology is maintaining some contact through a  third party. Got news today that both son and his wife are now employed, have rented a house and bought a car of some sort. DIL sounds very happy in what she posted.

What a relief for us! We may never be close with our son again but he has pulled himself together and now is doing what we pleaded for him to do for a long time. All a parent wants is for their child to be happy and, even if it means we will not ever see our grandchild again, this is a good thing. Maybe now we can move on with our lives.

I hear you Deacon. Your great love for your family is evident and I am so happy that this has worked out so well.
Positive thoughts continue.

Good to see you deacon and I agree - as a parent, we just want your children to have a happy, productive life. I believe in miracles and while it's been a rough, rough ride in my world, and many years in the making, we are slowly making progress. I see the grand-babies and my son/fiance once a week at my home for dinner. It was fun the first week, stressful the 2nd and 3rd weeks and better week 4. Letting go and allowing God to help heal us has let me release any expectations, and I just hold on to hope for peace in the long run. I'll take whatever comes my way at this point, but would also be accepting should the dynamics change.

(((Hugs))) to you - sending positive thoughts your way - and I am a huge fan of living your life in the moment, seeking joy at every turn!
