Alanon anniversary

This month is my 3rd year anniversary.  I love my f2f group but no one seems to care about their anniversary except for myself and one other member.  So the two of us will do something special at one of our meetings.

It could be because she and I are older.  We haven't had years and years to get better.  I spent years in a sick fog and Alanon has pushed me through it and given me a new way to live life.  I am ever so grateful to my group and you guys and all my program tools.  I never felt better and I thought my anniversary was about me.  But I actually want to thank you and my group.

THANKS EVERYONE!!!!!biggrinsmile  XOXO. Lyne

Yay! I'm so happy that it has helped you, and that you have benefited so much! It works if you work it!

Happy Anniversary, Lyne. It is indeed an event to celebrate. My finding AlAnon and using its wisdom is high on my gratitude list.

Happy Anniversary Lyne !!  Anniversaries are important and I celebrate mine along with many others...I love the persistence angle of it as this is probably the only positive aspect of my life I've hung on to and HP has kept the gift of recovery in front of us to keep trudging after.  Keep coming back!!! ((((hugs)))) wink

Congrats on sticking w it for 3 years. I too celebrate every year in January the month of my first meeting. It is a great accomplishment to do something for s period of time that is good for you. I thank the program every day for the time I have put in. I believe that I wouldn't have the serenity if I hadn't made a commitment to alanon & all of you. I thank the people who are here for me every day. Go ahead & celebrate. You all deserve it!

Happy Birthday/Anniversary Lyne! My group also doesn't do a lot for it, we ask each month if anyone is celebrating an anniversary and we give hugs/applause and that's about it. I am OK with either approach - and am also grateful for the program. I am glad it's brought me (and you and all) to MIP! MIP has been a great way to supplement my program and I am so glad we all care enough to keep coming back!

~~Here's to much more peace and serenity for you and all!!~~ Happy 3rd!
