I have mild hypoglycemia. If I get hungry, I need to eat or I'll get shaky and dizzy and sick, etc. Well, I got home from work and realized I didn't have jack to eat - need to go grocery shopping, but I'm pretty broke. So, I decide to run to the store to grab some spaghetti and sauce. I figured it would be fine since the store is 3 minutes away from my house. I get there, grab my food, and because it's so late, there's only one aisle open. And there's an older lady writing a check. It takes her forever - partly because she keeps stopping to chat with the cashier. Then she had a separate purchase. And wrote another check. Then, the girl in front of me has stuff on one credit card then wants the rest of it on another. So, I end up waiting in line for almost half an hour. By the time I got back to my car, I was really lightheaded and shaking like a leaf and my vision was a little blurry, but I had to get home somehow. Lucky there's not much traffic.
So, I turn off the highway and apparently I swerved a bit because I got pulled over. I explained about the hypoglycemia and blah blah so he says he's going to follow me the rest of the way home to make sure I get there ok. I got home and parked and he waited until I got inside my apartment building before he left. I just thought it was nice of him.
